When collapsed, The Tank Dolly® reduces its height from 45 inches to 14.5 inches (114.3 to 36.8 cm):

  • Detach the Oval Handle by pressing the snap-button located at the top of the Tank Brace and pull the Oval Handle straight up

  • Collapse the Tank Brace by pressing the snap-button located on the side of the Pivot Box; The Tank Brace pivots forward and downward

The snap-buttons secure both the Tank Brace and the Handle

The snap-buttons are designed to support 1,000 pounds (453 kg)

  • The Tank Dolly® is not designed to carry 1,000 pounds (453 kg) ⏤ We are just saying our snap-buttons are incredibly strong!


  • Both snap-buttons are 0.38 inch (0.9 cm) in diameter

  • 10-year limited warranty covers 100% of the snap-button from material and craftsmanship defects

Snap-Buttons:

  • Our snap-buttons are solid 301 passivated stainless-steel 


⚠️ To avoid accidental release, a moderate amount of inward force is required to lock and unlock the snap-button.

Your Tank Dolly® is designed to be locked to a fixed object

Locking your Tank Dolly®:

  • Place the Oval Handle in the Weight box

  • Thread a lockable cable through the Oval Handle and the (2) 1 inch (2.5 cm) diameter portholes engineered into the Weight Box

  • Lock to a fixed object such as a fence, post, rail, bench, table, or a lifeguard tower (check with the lifeguard before locking to their tower)

  • Secure the cable with a combination lock

Map software for beach diving:

  • If you are unfamiliar with your dive site, access map software such as Google Earth or Maps in satellite mode

  • Map software will show if a fixed object is available to lock your Tank Dolly® to if left unattended
